Everybody at Liverpool Bereavement Service would like to extend a huge thank you and good luck to Peter who is running a virtual London Marathon in aid of our service. We really do rely on the kindness and generosity of people who donate and fundraise for us. You can read all about peter and his story below.
Hi Family and friends, Looking for your support !
I will be taking part in the 2022 TCS Virtual London Marathon in support and appreciation of Liverpool Bereavement Service who helped me through my deep grief when I lost my lovely wife Joan. ❤️
The Virtual London Marathon is an event in which I will do the 26 miles 365 yards in the local area with the distance monitored and verified by an app issued by the marathon people on the day. When verified I will be sent a London Marathon Finisher’s medal and t-shirt. I intend to walk the distance wearing my London Marathon Number Bib in the Liverpool area on the 2nd October. I will be starting early and doing a steady walk. My plan is to finish at the Yacht Club bar on Coburg Wharf at approx 5pm for a well earned drink. Invite is there for anyone that would like to join me. 🍻
The charity I am doing it for is Liverpool Bereavement Service.
Their counselling was amazing (especially my counsellor Chris)
They helped me on a journey of adjusting from the dark place I found myself in! From being unable to control my emotions and see a way ahead to being able to see a future of enjoying life again (but also cherishing my life with Joan ❤️).
I want this amazing service to be able to carry on to give help to other people when they are in the despair of grief after losing a loved one!
They receive no public funding and rely on donations and fundraising. Any donation would be gratefully received.

Thanks to anyone that can support me!
Peter ! ❤️
